Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this highly original 1966 Chevy Corvette Coupe (986) Silver Pearl // Black leather, 327/350HP (L79) - 4 Speed (M21). This beauty retains its original drivetrain (rebuilt -numbers matching) with extensive body, chassis, drivetrain restoration as a frame on process. This Vette’s overhaul was executed in numerous phases with detailed pictures loaded into 4 photo binders as documentation & receipts to be included with the sale. Additional documentation includes a NCRS build sheet as per VIN and a shipping data report showing this car was sold new by BALDWIN Auto Company (Baldwin, NY) – yes, the infamous “BALDWIN” dealer. Exterior wise this car shows great, refinished in 2006 (and gently used since) its #986 Silver Pearl is correct in color for this vehicle & showing only minor imperfections. Interior wise is excellent, gauges all show well, interior lighting & switches correct, original AM/FM radio intact, seats excellent. Factory original drivetrain received complete rebuild to its 327ci/350HP (L79) engine, M21 4-speed transmission, and G81 POSI Rear Differential – all in proper running order. In addition to its factory L79 350 HP engine option (11:1 compression), this coupe also includes J50 Power Brakes (4-wheel disc/4 piston) and N40 power steering. Overall, this classic is beautiful and well cared for, the meticulous work on this car shows – it\'s well put together and in great condition. Restoration work is correct with many of the original accessory parts having been rebuilt (not replaced) and well maintained, the bulk of the work fell between 1998 through 2007 with limited use since and proper storage while not commissioned, milage is” TMU” and currently showing - 08868. The only non-factory addition to this Coupe is aftermarket Knock-off wheels (15in) wrapped with firestone FR380 P215/70/R15 gold-line tires that were added by the current owner. Overall, this is a really solid car, good looking and sounding, well built with quality attention and very expensive to match in the current market – to add - a true L79 car having been sold through the Baldwin dealer to boot.
